In this article, we’ll walk you through how to prepare both existing and new campaigns to make the most of Generative AI during idea submission. With this feature, submitting ideas becomes faster and more accurate. Check out the topics below to guide you through the process:
How to Enable the Feature?
Just like other AI-powered tools on the platform, Optimized Submission must be activated by SUPERUSERS in the system's General Settings. Each organization can choose whether or not to offer this AI support during the idea submission process.
To activate it, go to:
🔧 Gear icon > General Settings > General Tab > Item 4: ENABLE IDEA SUBMISSION HELP
Enabling AI in Existing Campaigns
If AI is enabled while there are already active campaigns on the platform, the user responsible for activating it (via Gear Icon > General Settings > General Tab > Item 4) should ensure that all campaigns and form fields include clear and well-written descriptions. This is essential for the AI to deliver accurate and relevant recommendations.
Even with AI enabled, existing campaigns and additional fields will continue to function normally—even if they don’t yet have AI-specific descriptions configured.
However, as soon as someone opens the campaign or fields for editing, the description fields become mandatory.
Campaign Setup for AI
Once AI is enabled, a new required field will appear in the campaign’s basic info: Campaign Scope. This field must contain at least 200 characters in order for the campaign to be published.
In addition to this new field, all custom fields also require descriptions, each with a minimum of 80 characters.
Previously created fields without descriptions will only become mandatory when edited. These fields will display a character counter and show an error state if not properly filled in.
Campaign Scope Field for AI-Enabled and Non-AI Campaigns
When generative AI is activated in any campaign, the AI Scope field will become visible across all campaigns, regardless of whether AI is enabled for that specific campaign. This ensures that the AI can recommend the most relevant active campaign during idea submission.
If AI is active and multiple active campaigns don’t yet have a defined scope, users will need to fill out the Campaign Scope field if they want to edit those campaigns. Otherwise, if no changes are made, the campaigns will continue to function as usual until the user decides to update them.
Error State
If a user focuses on a description field and leaves it without meeting the character requirement, an alert will appear stating that the minimum character count hasn’t been met.
Campaign Setup for AI – Standard Fields
Once AI is enabled, the modals for editing the Description and Benefits fields will display guidance related to AI configuration.
Additionally, the Scope field will become mandatory, requiring at least 50 characters for the “Save Field” button to be enabled.
All of these fields include a character counter and will show an error if the user leaves the field incomplete.
Unsaved Changes Alert
When editing a campaign, an alert will appear just below the tab section if there are unsaved changes. This alert will remain visible until the user clicks “Save Campaign.” It can’t be dismissed, and hovering over it will not trigger any action.
Helper Text in All Default Idea Fields
Adding helper text to all default fields in the idea form helps campaign administrators clearly explain how each field should be filled out.
Submitting Ideas in Campaigns Without AI
If AI is disabled for a campaign, a small icon will appear during idea submission indicating that AI is currently unavailable—this way, users are aware the feature isn’t active.
