In this article, you will find important information for a Manager of the Startup Hub. See below what you will find here:
Accessing the platform
We have an article covering all login scenarios: How to Log into the Platform.
How to evaluate a startup?
To perform evaluations, evaluators must access the startup’s card inside the funnel and go to the Evaluations tab. There, click the icon to expand the criterion:
Once done, the evaluation menu will open, and the evaluator must:
- Select how many stars to assign to the startup;
- Optionally add a comment to the evaluation.
Finally, click “Evaluate” to submit your evaluation. Once all criteria have been evaluated, the evaluation overview will appear as follows:
If needed, you can edit an existing evaluation by expanding the criterion and clicking the “Pencil” icon on the top right of the modal to update the score or comment.
Managing evaluations
It is also possible to manage submitted evaluations. Click the three dots icon in each stage and then select EVALUATIONS.
A pop-up window will open with evaluation data. You can also:
- View the weight defined for each criterion;
- See how many startups were evaluated, how many evaluators reviewed each, and the average scores—click the Eye icon to view this;
- Edit the title, weight, assigned evaluator, and deadline—click the Pencil icon;
- Delete a criterion by clicking the Trash icon.
Startup ranking: by criterion and by stage
Clicking the eye icon also shows a ranking of startups by that criterion. For example, clicking the eye icon on “Solution Fit” expands a swimlane displaying the ranking:
Further below, under “Stage Averages,” you will find the overall ranking by stage. As evaluators score criteria, the stage ranking is formed using their average scores:
Finally, the overall average of evaluated criteria per startup appears on its card in the funnel:
What notifications and emails do I receive?
Evaluation responsibles receive emails in the following cases:
1) When they are assigned as evaluators for a stage that currently has or previously had startups (excluding deleted or lost ones):
2) When they have pending evaluations. Emails are sent if:
- The startup is still active (not lost or deleted from the funnel)
- It has been 7 or more days since the last reminder email was sent
3) When evaluations are close to their due date (1 day before and on the day).
