Enrolling in challenges is essential to drive the innovation funnel with a continuous flow of new projects and strategic partnerships. In this article, you will find clear explanations about the enrollment process to participate in a challenge and answers to frequently asked questions about enrolled startups. The content is aimed at participants and managers; see the topics below to navigate through the article.
How can I participate in a Challenge?
Below, we present relevant information to help you better understand how to participate in challenges.
Topic 1 - The AEVOConnect page: This page presents the open innovation challenges and direct connections to AEVO's Open Innovation Community. Startups can actively apply for challenges and will go through the partner organizations' selection process. Each program has its own rules, which must be verified by the startup's leadership at the time of application.
Topic 2 - Registration through challenges: You can directly access a challenge and register for an innovation funnel through the Open Challenges tab, which displays the organizations receiving registrations. Pay attention to the deadlines and challenge information: after the deadline, it will not be possible to register. Check out the open challenges on AEVOConnect.
Topic 3 - Registration of Startups within the funnel: Startups already registered in the database can be added by challenge managers at each stage of the funnel. This allows the startup to advance through the stages without having to re-register. Email is the main channel of communication; keep your contacts up to date to receive communications and invitations. Another way to be included is through an invitation sent by the manager, who forwards a link to the challenge allowing the startup to register and enroll.
How does the Challenge registration process work?
When choosing a challenge, you must complete the registration form by filling in all the requested information to complete the process. The format of the form may vary depending on the challenge model and may include additional questionnaires defined by the managing organization.
Topic 1 - Email linked to your startup: Enter the email address that will be linked to your startup (professional or personal) to receive registration confirmation and proceed with the registration.
Topic 2 - Confirming your email: A confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provided. Once you confirm, you will be redirected to continue with your registration.
Topic 3 – Basic Information: Fill in details such as the name of the organization, type of organization, address, and contact information. In the Description field, enter your objectives, area of activity, and unique selling points. Click Next to continue.
Topic 4 - Details: Fill in additional details and add Tags (keywords) that make it easier to identify your startup in the system, for example, the keyword innovation. Click Next after filling in the information.
Topic 5 - People: Add personal data and members of the organization via Include another person on the team. Enter the new user's data and click Save. When finished, click Next.
Topic 6 – Additional Information: Answer any additional questions, if applicable, and proceed to Next.
Topic 7 – Specific information: Some challenges require additional forms created by the organizers (questionnaires). At the end, you will need to agree to the data collection policy to complete your registration. Please note: if any mandatory field is left blank, you will not be able to complete your registration; the platform will ask you to fill in the missing field.
How do I know that I have successfully completed my Challenge Registration?
After completing the form, accepting the terms, and clicking Finish, you will see a confirmation message stating that your organization is registered for the challenge. In addition, a confirmation email will be sent to the email address you provided.
Is my startup information also valid for future Challenges?
Yes. Your startup data is stored in the platform database. When your email is associated with a registered startup, when you start a new registration, the system will be able to identify the organizations linked to your email and allow you to select your startup from the list displayed or choose No, register new if you wish to register a new one.
How can I get information about the Challenge I signed up for?
The organizations responsible for the challenge coordinate all stages and communications. After signing up, it is essential to keep track of the contact details registered for your startup and carefully read the challenge instructions, as the organization itself will contact you to guide you through the next steps or inform you of any obstacles to progress. Aevo Support does not have access to the organizer's internal decisions and, therefore, cannot inform you whether a startup will be approved or what the next steps will be.
How can I update my startup's outdated data?
After completing the registration, a confirmation email is sent to the person responsible for the organization containing an Edit Registration link. Click on this link, select your organization, and you will be redirected to the first page of the registration flow to make the necessary edits. When you are finished and click Finish, the message Your registration has been updated! will be displayed.
Note: You can delete the startup at any time from the database by accessing Edit Registration and the settings icon on the first page of the registration flow. You can also export the registration data using the same settings icon. |
What should I do if the email address registered with Startup belongs to an employee who is no longer on the team?
If the person responsible for registration loses access to the email or leaves the organization, it is necessary to update the contact information for a new administrator. To do so, contact Aevo Support, which will perform the necessary checks to confirm the identity of the new person responsible and grant access. If necessary, evidence may be requested to prove that the new person responsible represents the organization. After verification, access will be granted immediately.
Conclusion
Registration for challenges occurs mainly via AEVOConnect or through invitations sent by managers; the registration process involves email confirmation, filling in basic information, details, adding members, and, when applicable, additional forms from the organizer. After completing the registration, you will receive confirmation by email; your data is stored in the platform's database and can be reused in future challenges. To update your data, use the Edit Registration link received by email. If the registered email belongs to someone who is no longer part of the team, contact Aevo Support to update the responsible person after verification.
